Guiding Principles

CoastOak Group's approach to community development is guided by a set of cornerstone principles for the creation of market-leading communities where current and future residents can live, work and enjoy their surroundings.

Architectural Guidelines

Architectural and design guidelines are established to promote appealing but diverse architectural styles. Distinct streetscapes are the by-product of the time and resources employed to review individual home plans and coordinate architecture in a harmonious manner.

Environmental Sensitivity & Sustainability

A cornerstone of our development philosophy is to be sensitive to the natural environmental surroundings through preservation and enhancement of the earth's resources. Local experts are employed to assist in creating sustainable designs and strategies for protecting the natural environment. We seek to preserve native habitat by carefully selecting areas for open space and providing wildlife corridors that connect with other habitat areas.

CoastOak believes that sustainability of our natural resources is a concept deserving steadfast attention. Conservation of natural resources is encouraged with our residents and builders alike. Developing with sensitivity to the natural surroundings not only creates benefits for the environment, but creates distinct and attractive communities for our residents.

Community Collaboration

Proactive collaboration within our local communities and municipalities is an essential element of corporate responsibility and a necessary measure to address the needs of all our stakeholders. Our professionals have extensive experience in working with government agencies, community organizations, local civic groups, public and private schools and foundations, as well a variety of professional organizations such as the Urban Land Institute.
